ENG113 (Honors English) is an accelerated course in composition and research for first-year students with advanced writing and critical thinking skills who place into the course via their placement diagnostic scores, standardized test scores, and high school transcripts. Students who complete the course successfully (by earning a grade of C- or higher) satisfy the College Composition Connector requirement of Mars Hill’s Liberal Arts in Action general education program, which most students achieve by passing both ENG111 (Expository Essay) and ENG112 (Documented Essay).
